The Agribologna Group is a cooperative of producers specializing in fresh fruits and vegetables that aims to make each member the protagonist of his or her own harvest: fruit, vegetables or greens.

The Group’s primary objective is to enhance the production of the members of Agribologna Cooperative, the parent company, by supporting them in the production of products that ensure consistent quality, food safety and traceability . Thanks to Conor and Arandis, the group’s trading companies, farmers’ fruit and vegetables are distributed to the Ho.Re.Ca channel and to large-scale retail and normal trade, respectively, guaranteeing a constant and complete supply.

The fruit and vegetable cooperative was founded with the specific purpose of decreasing the number of commercial transactions that retain an important slice of the value chain and originated in 1973 with the first aggregation among farmers at the Bologna Fruit and Vegetable Market.

On the other hand, the Agribologna Consortium became such in 1989, with the function of representing the founding cooperatives, to transform a few years later into the organizational, planning and marketing tool for the conferred products recognized by the Emilia – Romagna region.

The Agribologna Group immediately demonstrated a propensity for innovation on product and process, specializing in both the GDO and normal trade channels, both in services to the restaurant and territorial market point to the online, with an eye toward emerging foreign markets as well.

As the group grows in both business and logic management, organizational needs also grow, pushing toward a process of centralizing cross-services across the value chain generated by the group’s businesses: adopting a single IT service and a single administrative and financial service .

The management and business complexity of the Agribologna Group required targeted intervention to ensure a modern, efficient and secure IT infrastructure.

 

Although already using the services of Deda Tech, the Group needed a technological upgrade and a complete and integrated management of its infrastructure.

  • The adoption of the Back-up service, with migration to a new Data Domain solution, to ensure business continuity and rapid data recovery.
  • The activation of a replication infrastructure to ensure uptime even in case of failures, ensuring extremely short recovery times.
  • The introduction of the ManS for Data Protection service to ensure continuous monitoring, centralized data security management, and improved business resilience against possible threats or information loss.
